Starting School in September 2024
Children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 are normally due to start school for the first time in a reception class in a primary school in September 2024.
Applications to start school can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2023. The closing date for applications is 15th January 2024. Parents/carers will be informed of the allocation of places on 17th April 2024 and must respond to accept or decline by 25th April 2024. For more information please go to:

Parents and Carers who may be applying for a Reception 2024 place at St Clare’s Catholic Primary School are welcome to come and view the school. Please ring the School Office on 01244 445266 to make an appointment.
Transferring to Secondary School in September 2024
Applications for a Secondary school place can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2023. The closing date for applications is 31st October 2023. Parents/carers will be able to view allocation of places on 1st March 2024 and must respond to accept or decline by 9th March 2024.
