Starting School in September 2023
Children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 are normally due to start school for the first time in a reception class in a primary school in September 2023.
Applications to start school can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2022. The closing date for applications is 15th January 2023. Parents/carers will be informed of the allocation of places on 17th April 2023 and must respond to accept or decline by 25th April 2023. For more information please go to:

Parents and Carers who may be applying for a Reception 2023 place at St Clare’s Catholic Primary School are welcome to come and view the school. Please ring the School Office on 01244 445266 to make an appointment.
Transferring to Secondary School in September 2023
Applications for a Secondary school place can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2022. The closing date for applications is 31st October 2022. Parents/carers will be able to view allocation of places on 1st March 2023 and must respond to accept or decline by 9th March 2023.
